New Harbor Roofing & Construction ® LLC was formed in 2021. They focus predominantly on roofing, siding and gutters. Amanda Schmidt, the Managing Member of New Harbor, is the first and only HAAG Engineering Master Level Damage Inspector in Nebraska. Amanda began her career in the late 90s as an adjusting intern with State Farm Insurance. She spent a decade as a multi-line insurance adjuster and holds an AIC (Associate in Claims) designation from the Insurance Institute of America with support from the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters. New Harbor aids homeowners with their insurance claims with special emphasis on hail claims. Many changes have recently developed in the insurance industry, including ACV (Actual Cash Value) Schedules being placed upon roofs 10-years old and older. RCV (Replacement Cost Value) used to be the standard for roofing, but insurance carriers no longer offer full-life RCV coverage on roofs unless the shingles are Class 3 or above. New Harbor upgrades all customers to Class 3 Impact Resistant shingles for no added charge to ensure that ACV Schedules are not being placed on roofs to the detriment of homeowners. They offer a 5-year Craftsmanship Warranty on all replacement work and 1-year on all repairs. They are members of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors ® and provide free roof inspections, both residential and commercial. New Harbor assists the homeowner in protecting their biggest investment - their home.
